Student are to write down in notebook on blank copy paper, week assignments and put in assignment section of Engineering Notebook. |
Students are encouraged to come after school and work on their assignments if they need to catch up. |
On Monday, for the Technology Student Association, I stay till 4:00 PM. I stay after school everyday till 2:50 PM for Tuesday - Thursday. On Friday, I stay till 2:50 PM on Friday. If not sure just check with me. |
All work is due the following week after it has been assigned. No later than the following Friday. |

Weekly - EMPLOYABILITY GRADE:
Employability Defined:
Employability skills have been defined as: "A set of achievements, understandings and personal attributes that make individuals more likely to gain employment and to be successful in their chosen occupations".
1) Student enters classroom and places back pack in "backpack parking lot".
2) Student Cell phone is not visible, if in hand, then lunch referral.
3) Student retrieves Engineering Portfolio Binder and opens to assignment page for the week.
4) Student opens google chrome and opens: http://www.richardplatt.net/southeastengineering/about_classes_001.html
to specific class assignments page for the given week.
5) Student is working quitely on assignment and not socializing, until roll is taken and Mr. Platt has addressed class.
6) Student works until 5 minutes to end of class, and then lab and design lab cleaned up is complete.
7) All tools are returned and id bag for tool check out is retrieved.
8) Engineering Portfolio Binder is placed back on shelf. Headphones, Safety Glasses back on top of computer.

10) Back packs are only retrieved after bell rings and or Mr. Platt has released the class for passing period.

| Student will receive a ZERO for a project that is the work of another student with a referral. |
1. This class has a lot of work for students to complete.
2. All the work assigned is real world work experience projects. As in a real world work experience projects must be completed.
3. Points will be taken off for incomplete work, poor quality work and any lack of neatness and organization.
4. Students will be required to turn in all work on their web site or in their portfolio binder.
5. All students will build a web site that will function solely as a professional portfolio of their work.
6. Student web sites with parent agreement will not have any links to social networking sites and will link to only to instructor's site, Manatee School District and other professionally appropriate sites. This will detailed in the student/parent agreement for their student to build a class web site.
7. Parents are highly encouraged to review their student's web site often to track their students accomplishments.
8. Students are encouraged to take home their Engineering Portfolio Notebooks.
